Encore Networks Introduces Industrially Hardened 4G Wireless Router

Extreme Temperature Hardened Version of the Popular EN-4000™ Designed Specifically for Deployment in Harsh Environmental Conditions

Chantilly, VA January 28, 2014 – Encore Networks, a leader in M2M solutions for fixed and wireless communications, today announced that the 4G EN-4000™ broadband router is now available for extreme temperature hardened operations found in industrial and outdoor environments with an operating ambient temperature range of -40º C to +85º C. With no fans or moving parts, the all metal enclosure resists dust, moisture, and electromagnetic interference (EMI), increasing overall reliability and operations in the harshest conditions.

The rugged EN-4000™ base configuration contains either one or two embedded cellular modules, one high speed 10/100 Mbs Ethernet WAN port and four 10/1000 Mbs Ethernet LAN switching ports, with redundant AC and DC power. Field upgradeable expansion slots for a wide range of interface modules, allows the user to change their router configuration without having to remove the router from the field. The EN-4000™ adapts to specific network requirements by adding additional Gig Ethernet WAN ports, Ethernet LAN switching ports, 4G LTE, HSPA+, and 3G multi-carrier cellular modules, serial data ports, T-1/Fractional T1 with CSU interfaces, fiber optic port, 2/4 wire analog port, and FXO and FXS voice ports with embedded SIP ATA. The EN-4000™ router supports multiple ports and high-speed network connections for any service, any port, any time.
